From Headstrong Amps: "The Lil King-S was Wayne's idea to create an amp that was never made during this era, a single channel 25-30 watt amp but not as bulky or heavy as say a Deluxe or Vibrolux Reverb. The other, to take a stock Lil King and see how far he could push it without changing the "inefficient" Phase Inverter found in the original circuit. Tonally think louder and tighter Princeton Reverb. Still not as bright as a typical Blackface style amp in this wattage range, the theory was to create a higher powered version with more headroom and bottom end definition, but when over-driven would retain some of the classic small amp character. Here is a beautiful sounding board finished this week for my friend Peter Mendel. The board is one of the most ambient and toneally lush sounding boards we have done. The signal chain is as follows: King Vox Wah---Mu Tron III---Megavibe---Germanium Experience---L.A.S.D. PI-01----XTS Tejas Boost---Zendrive----XTS Precision---XTS Pegasus Boost---Vol----Echo Machine---Memory Lane 2---Strymon El Capistan---EBS Dynaverb---PI-01. In the clip Peter is using his Custom Roadworn Baritone Telecaster (14 Gauge Strings-no pick) into two Diamond heads in stereo. All three delays are on in the clip as well as the reverb set on a hall setting. Both the Strymon and Memory Lane have modulation on. The spaciousness all three delays created was amazing.

Here is a demo comparison of the XTS Fuzzy Tube Driver and Way Huge Red Lama. Both pedals are running into a Maxon SD-9 with a Strymon for delay. My friend Peter Mendel is demoing the pedals with his Nash Tele with Lollar Pickups and a Callahan bridge. No pick used-all fingers. Great playing by Pete-huge tone. The amps used are a Diamond Spitfire into a Kerry Wright 4x12 and a Diamond Decada into a Diamond 4x12 with Vintage 30's.

My good friend Peter Mendel gets the award for the pedalboard of the year. Pete is one of my favorite guitarists. His use of effect textures is incredible as well as his feel. One volume pedal is the level for the DL4, the other is the Rotoshpere level blend to the two amps. Both boards together are setup to feed four amps-two stereo pairs. Used are two Blankenship Tweed Fatboys, Blankenship Variplex into a Kerry Wright 4x12, Blankenship Bassman into a Kerry Wright 2x12. This is a true wall of tone.

Here is a demo of the the XTS Tejas boost with the gain all the way up into a XTS Precision Overdrive. The Tejas is one of the fattest boosts made as well as a huge Fuzz tone. My friend Pete Mendel is playing a custom Skermetta Telecaster with 13 gauge strings into a Diamond Spitfire head set clean. The cab is a Kerry Wright 1x12 open back with a Vintage Celestion Blackback 25. The KW is the biggest sounding 1x12 I have heard. On this tone we are using a Echom Machine and an EBS Dynaverb. A reissue EH Small Stone is added at the end of the clip.

This is a quick loop I put together with my new Baritone Tele made by Isaac at Westwood music. It has an ash body, Kuwabara bridge pickup and an Allparts neck that Isaac totally redid, finished and made absolutely perfect. I'm playing through an XTS precision overdrive, Line 6 DL4 with loop function and a Blankenship Variplex with a Kerry Wright 2x12 with blackjacks and a '62 Marshall JTM 45 clone with a Kerry Wright 4x12 with blackbacks.
